Agou, Togo, West Africa – October 14-18

From the airport I stopped by the UofN campus in Noepe for a short visit and then traveled up to Agou in central Togo on a mountain top. There I taught a seminar to two combined courses, one that came up from Noepe campus and one from the Agou campus. It was a very fulfilling time as I taught the course in French to some amazing African students. I started by sharing the roots of our first involvement in West Africa in the mid 1970’s. We began most days with a wonderful time of worship in French and in several local languages. And in Africa you can’t have worship without dancing. I even joined the dancing in the worship time.
