On Sunday May 4th I spoke at Mokuaikaua Church, our home church in Kona. The topic was looking at how both Abraham and Job responded during times of great testing and suffering. Their response was to worship, because they knew and trusted in the character of God.
From March 24-26 I taught a seminar to prepare the students for their three-month field assignment overseas. The students were a very responsive group, open to all that I could impart to them. They departed in several teams at the end of the week to their field assignments.
The week of February 17-21 I taught a one-week seminar at a bilingual English/Korean leadership course in Switzerland. I was able to speak over Zoom from my office in Hawaii to this class. The responses of the students was very encouraging.
On February 6, 2025 I had the opportunity to preach at our home church in Kona, Mokuaikaua Church on the Gospel of Mark chapter 12.
On December 24th with a candlelight service, we had the joy of preparing for the celebration of the birth of Jesus on the 25th. It was a precious service including worship in the Hawaiian language as well as in English.
On December 8, 2024 I spoke at Mokuaikaua Church about the Advent Candle of Peace. Jesus is very much the Prince of Peace, whose birthday we were preparing to celebrate on December 25th.
The first week of December 2024 I taught a three-day seminar in Maui to help prepare these students for their overseas assignments they departed for at the end of that week. They were a great group, all excited about heading overseas for the practical field assignment part of their course.
From November 18-22, 2024 I taught a one-week seminar to help prepare these students for their three-month overseas assignments after the lecture phase of their course.
From November 4-8, 2024 I taught a bilingual English/French UofN seminar in Paris, France to a great group of students.
From October 22-25 I taught a UofN seminar in Pisa, Italy. Though it was a small group, it was a great time of interaction with these students.
