Just before Christmas Judi and I connected with Judi’s sister Marilyn Daugherty’s family. They celebrated Marilyn’s birthday at Disneyland and we joined them for a day. Marilyn’s daughter Lynn brought her new twin daughters. It was a treat to hold these precious little ones.
While Judi and I were in California in December we had the opportunity to celebrate my mom’s 96th birthday by taking her to one of our favorite Italian restaurants in San Jose, Georgio’s. The food was great and it was a special treat to have this time with my mom.
I had the opportunity to share in a couple of Kona courses in preparation for their two to three month overseas assignments. I always enjoy these times of excitement, as students are anticipating what life will be like for the next two to three months somewhere else in the world.

Returning to the USA from Paris, France, Judi and I participated in a conference at Cross Points Church in Shawnee, Kansas. We both had several opportunities to share in different groupings. Among other times we shared, I shared a story at the Saturday evening banquet and Judi shared a story at the Sunday morning service.
